Welcome to Kai's Krusaders 2019!
It's that time again!? Ready to join our team and WALK with us to End Hydrocephalus!? As most of you know, we learned on December 7, 2017 that our son, Kai, had this life altering, life threatening condition, caused by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid, resulting in pressure on the brain, called hydrocephalus. The most common treatment for this condition is brain surgery to implant a medical device called a shunt, which Kai's was placed on December 12, 2017. Although we are thankful that his original shunt is still working as of now, it is NOT a cure. Shunts are known known for consistent failures that lead to multiple brain surgeries over a patient’s lifetime, in some cases 100 or more. Additionally, Kai's hydrocephalus has caused significant developmental delays, physical delays and visual impairements. We hope that through research and the Hydrocephalus Association, we can can find a cure! Please consider joining our team or donating to help us reach our goal. Last year, we were blown away by your generosity and support and we know we can do it again in 2019! Just ike before, if you're unable to donate, that's no problem. We hope you're at least able to come walk with us and be a part of Kai's Army! Although, your donations are also GREATLY appreciated and will go far in helping us find a cure and improve the lives of people living with hydrocephalus, including our sweet Kai.
We love our Kai's Krusaders!
