Orange County WALK to End Hydrocephalus 2019

Will's Warriors

Welcome to WILL'S WARRIORS  Team Page!

Three years ago, we started Will's Warriors to raise awareness in finding a cure for Hydrocephalus. Our son Will was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus after doctors found he had a large brain tumor when he was only 2 1/2 years old. Over the past 7 years, Will has required 10 brain surgeries due to shunt malfunctions or infections. We are so grateful that he has been surgery FREE for the last 2 years! Will is growing up so fast and has just started 3rd grade. He loves to play basketball, baseball and go boogie boarding at the beach.

Hydrocephalus is a life altering, life threatening condition, caused by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid, resulting in pressure on the brain. The most common treatment for this condition is brain surgery to implant a medical device called a shunt, which has a 50% failure rate in children within the first two years.  A shunt is not a cure, as many patients endure multiple brain surgeries throughout their lifetime.

Please help us in our fight to find a cure for Hydrocephalus by donating to our 3rd annual Will’s Warriors walk. This year’s walk will take place on October 12th in Huntington Beach, California. We appreciate all the support and love from all of you and we are excited to continue to fight for a cure!

Thank you for your support!

Will, Gianna, Lauren and Tony Napoli
